Abstract
Unul din semnele distinctive ale literaturii postmoderniste este efortul permanent de (de) construirea a textului pentru a împlini aşteptările cititorului, pentru a-l manipula şi, în unele cazuri, chiar pentru a-l lua în deriziune.Totuşi, acest obiectiv este dificil de realizat şi, astfel, scriitorii postmodernişti sunt adesea obligaţi să reinterpreteze tradiţia, pentru a deconstrui modele ale tradiţiei literare şi de a folosi tot felul de strategii narative pentru a-şi seduce cititorii.
În acest context, lucrarea de faţă îşi propune analizarea unor strategii şi tehnici importante (cum ar fi parodia, intertextualitatea, de-construcţia), utilizate de către Petru Cimpoeşu, în romanul său Christina domestică şi vânătorii de suflete. În acelaşi timp, modul în care el asimilează tradiţia şi o foloseşte pentru a da noi înţelesuri textului său va fi un aspect important care urmează să fie abordat. Textul integral dovedeşte un autor original, care controlează instrumentele necesare de ficţiune postmodernistă. Din acest punct de vedere, Petru Cimpoeşu se dovedeşte a fi cel mai bun romancier român contemporan.
Abstract
One of the distinctive signs of Postmodernist literature is the permanent effort of (de)constructing the text in such a way to please the reader’s great expectations, to manipulate him and, in some cases, even to mock at him. Yet, this goal is difficult to achieve and, thus, Postmodernist writers are frequently forced to reinterpret tradition, to deconstruct patterns of the literary tradition and to use all kinds of narrative strategies to seduce their readers.
In this context, the present paper aims at analysing some important strategies and techniques (such as parody, intertextuality, de-construction) used by Petru Cimpoeşu in his well-known novel Domestic Christine and the Soul Hunters. At the same time, the way in which he assimilates tradition and uses it to give new meanings to his text will be an important aspect to be dealt with. The whole text proves an original author who controls the necessary instruments of postmodernist fiction. From this point of view, Petru Cimpoeşu turns out to be the best Romanian contemporary novelist.
