Abstract
Lucrarea aduce în prim-plan probleme precum identitatea, cultura, diversitatea culturală şi interacţiunea interculturală aşa cum sunt ele reflectate prin prezentarea Autobiografiei Întâlnirilor Interculturale, în vederea creşterii necesităţii stabilirii unui obiectiv major în activitatea de predare de azi: dezvoltarea competenţei comunicative interculturale.
Abstract
The paper brings into focus problems such as identity, culture, cultural diversity, and intercultural interaction as reflected through the presentation of Autobiography of Intercultural Encounters, in order to enhance the necessity of establishing one major objective in nowadays teaching: developing intercultural communicative competence.
The paper draws on Michael Byram`s Model of Intercultural Communicative Competence. Theoretical presentation is followed by the analysis of Autobiography of Intercultural Encounters, in order to establish a set of implications for the teaching process, with respect to cognitive, affective and action outcomes.
