Abstract
Having conducted a theoretical study, we found out that processes taking place in the globalized world are based on differences in levels of culture determined by corresponding levels of public consciousness resulting from various mentalities. At the level of the integration of various culture stages, the processes of globalization, Europeanization and internationalization find their reflection in the field of higher education. We attempted to analyse the conditions necessary for the building of harmonious relations among nations, based on cultural ties that unite these states in their intention to defend the fundamental principles and traditions of European higher education, as well as to harmonize European higher education in order to prepare the advent of evolutionary changes in culture. We are providing the experimental data collected during our research of students’ life values, and we think the results illustrate the actual state of the present cultural mentalities.
