Abstract
Because of their extension in time (throughout a whole year), the Romanian protests of 2017 against the government’s rules and regulations regarding the judiciary system caught the attention of the international media. Through content analysis of articles and headlines, the present paper tries to identify the representational devices used in portraying the Romanian protests of 2017 in several English and American newspapers. This study tries to suggest a typology of the representational devices to media coverage of the protests that started in Romania in January 2017
