This paper represents an investigation into Romanian phraseological corpus of the dishes made out of cereals (pastry) from a cultural perspective, in a context where, it is only more recently that the cultural foundation of phraseology has been duly noticed as playing an important role. The dishes made out of cereals show a different valorization on the level of the phraseological imaginary according to the space that defines them.
