Abstract
Interpreter professional training has now risen to a higher level, and no doubt, the modern world requires interpreters not only to have a good command of a foreign language, but also to have high readiness and ability to engage in cultural dialogue. The correlation between these two components is evident, since language is the keeper and container of culture accumulated by generations. Culture binds people by representing their way of thinking and feelings, by shaping their understanding of the world. Culture is the heritage that is passed from generation to generation. Due to the recent strengthening of international relations, there is the demand for highly qualified interpreters who are mediators between countries and nations. Language is a tool used by interpreters to help different cultures understand each other, which is essential in the modern world where globalization is underway. Having a clear understanding of the purposes and content of higher education, understanding other cultures in relation to the native one, and being able to appeal to present-day urgent problems in terms of language and the cultural content of education are the main objectives of interpreters’ professional training. Our aim is to use linguocultural approach as a way to modernize this process so that the interpreter can work successfully and effectively in a globalized world.
